Winter Wonderland

Snow.

Magical? Miserable? It depends on who you ask.

Sometimes you have to take a stroll in the park to appreciate how beautiful it is and forget about the slushy street.

Tunnels and Platforms

New York City Subways

Despite living my entire life in on of the city's boroughs, I am continuously amazed by it's subway system. An intricate web of tunnels and station platforms evolving at the hand of men over 100 years to provide efficient public transportation for millions of people every single day. Not only is traveling from point A to point B via transferring from train to train done with ease, but syncing the entire public transit system to efficiently utilize buses and ferries in the same trip is more than impressive.

This project has it's origin in the Young Photographers Alliance's Mentorship Program. In 2011, I was lucky enough to participate in the program. For my project, I photographed the subways to capture the energy that flows through the tunnels the way adrenaline pulses through one's veins. This is an ongoing project which I look forward to shooting.

Mohonk Mountain

The Mohonk Mountain House in High Falls, New York is one of my favorite places in the world. My Dad used to take me there on day trips when I was a little kid. It's been over a decade since my last visit. This summer, I had the chance to revisit with someone very special to me.

I stumbled upon this beautiful Muffler Family on 4th ave. in South Slope.

It made my day.
